Biography

Janessa Paré is a makeup artist based in New York.

With connection and character at the forefront of what inspires her, Janessa has always had the ability to communicate through makeup. She studied cosmetology, later working in a salon as a hairstylist and makeup artist before eventually deciding to fully focus on makeup and continue her formal training. Aveda then appointed her as a Global Artist for the brand where she worked on collection launches and began leading New York Fashion Week shows from a young age.

After moving to New York in 2012 she began assisting Yadim Carranza where Janessa learned to trust her intuition as an artist.

Janessa’s innate ease on set makes her a valuable asset on any creative team and has allowed her to work with photographers including Glen Luchford, Roe Ethridge, The Posternaks, Petra Collins, Esther Theaker, Collier Schorr, Hart Leshkina, Brianna Capozzi, Michael Hauptman, Cruz Valdez, Mark Luckasavage and Alice Neale.

Janessa’s clients include Estée Lauder, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Revlon, AREA, Oscar de la Renta, Zadig & Voltaire, Proenza Schouler, and more. Her work has been published in American Vogue, Another Magazine, British Vogue, CR Fashion Book, D Reppublica, Dazed, Document Journal, Holiday Magazine, Re-Edition, SSAW, System, and The Face, amongst others.
